Thoughts

My beloved late wife passed away at Papworth Hospital in December 1997. Earlier this year I was informed by Karen Webster PALS Supervisor Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust that she had, after extensive investigation on my behalf, not been able to locate Karin's bench which had been donated by family and friends in her memory. I reluctantly concluded that it had been stolen. A few weeks later, Cambridge Crematorium informed me that Karin's memorial tablet had been broken whist it was being moved. The picture on the memorial did however survive and was collected for me to retain at my home in Wales. Now that that memorials dedicated to Karin have been lost, I will add the Crematorium lease charges for the memorial to my monthly donations to The British Lung Foundation for the benefit of furthering research and support the lung disease sufferers. I have therefore started this tribute today to Karin.

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was. Thank you ever so much for choosing to support the work of the British Lung Foundation by creating this Breath of Life Fund online tribute in loving memory of Karin Jackson. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing your page and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to. It has been designed to be a truly lasting tribute for perpetuity for future generations to see.
